You know that whole trend of blaming black people for Prop 8? Yeah, it's really pissing me off. The fact that people are just blinding accepting this is ridiculous. Just. I remember when I first read about this on The Angry Black Woman. I was horrified that people I felt such a close kinship with (members of the LGBTQ community) could have such knee-jerk racist reactions. That the idea even made it to people like Dan Savage and was, like you said, broadcasted as fact was terrifying. It's another example of how far society has to go in terms of recognizing racism and racist thinking.

Thank you for the links! I always love when people use logic and break down the facts to disprove racist ideas.

*nods* Whenever I think about it I keep alternating between frustration and rage and utter depression. A lot of the blogging people have been doing on it, though, has helped to calm me a bit because it's a reminder that not everyone is a completely insane racist bastard. But it also angers me though, because if all of these people can figure it out why can't they? (And by they I mean the people who keep going on with the 'blame the black people' bull ( ... )
