Apples and Chicken?

Hello!

So, it is snowing in Tennessee! Which is kinda nifty if cold.

I'm up cooking food for lunch and eating a PB & J sandwich and half a Granny Smith apple.

I know, seems kinda odd, sandwich should be lunch but well, it all starts with the fact that I bought fresh poultry seasonings from Kroger.

Now, Kroger sells fresh herbs and such but I usually don't get them because it's cheaper to use dried. However, Kroger marks these down if they're about to go out of date and you can get them half price. So I bought a small thing of poultry seasonings (rosemary, sage, thyme) for only $.99.

I thought I might do chicken soup. I did some online poking of the use of said fresh things and found I may need to tread carefully with using more then a bit, but hey I have a bag of frozen chicken tenderloins in the freezer and this should encourage me. (I hope).

But, I woke up later then I meant to and was seriously considering not cooking. Then I got off my duff and outta the nice warm bed and poked in the kitchen and decided to bake some chicken and apples.

I sliced up half of the Granny Smith apple and got out two pieces of chicken. Salted and peppered chicken, put two or three sage leaves on chicken. Added apples, thin slices of margarine, more sage, some rosemary, and thyme. Wrapped the whole bit up in the non-stick wrap it was sitting in and stuck it in the freezer so it could all be frozen when it cooked.

I cut up a clove of garlic, two green onions, and boiled water for ramen noodles and threw together some stir-fried noodles with carrots and spinach. Ate a few bites to make sure they tasted ok and put them to the side to cool.

I realized I had half an apple. What could I eat with half an apple? Peanut butter and jelly. So, I made a sandwich and stuck the now (hopefully) frozen chicken packet into the pre-heated oven to cook for an hour or so.

Waiting for the results and keeping my fingers crossed.

cooking, me
