Hey, welcome back to LJ land! And yeah, when it comes to cops, it's a total double-standard. My best friend was married, and when they were seperated, which was her idea, she got all pissed at him for leaving as he was picking up more stuff at their house and an argument ensued. She ended up grabbing him by his nuts and squeezing. He grabbed her by the arms and set her down on the couch to avoid getting his nuts squeezed, and she called the cops. Nothing ever happened legally, but she tried to pass it off like he was the abusive one from it. She won't talk to me to this day because the day the divorce was finalized she caught me on AIM, and I had promised Todd not to start anything until it was finalized, and once it was, I told her the cops thing was probably the final straw for Todd, and why he decided to stay with the divorce

Oh, and I wanted to throw in - give your friends some time too. Some will probably start to call more soon once they figure things out a bit. If they don't, then they're just retards is all anyway!
