My goodness, how absolutely crap have I been with updating?

Quick summary of things that have happened in my life since February:. My 14-year-old cat, Whiskey, passed away from feline infectious peritonitis. His chest filled up with fluid and he had difficulty breathing. We asked the vet to help him pass otherwise it would have been too cruel to ( Read more... )

Sorry about your cat. Good age though, at least, as you said.
I'm mildly terrified that my dog, Honeycomb, is getting too old. Hoping to go see her again soon. (She lives with mum.)

Naww, Sooty. Cute name (and pics).

Geek and Sundry = ♥ :)

And my thoughts on Hunger Games is pretty much identical. Esp. the deeply uncomfortableness and thinking it's supposed to feel that way. Good books/movie. And Jennifer Lawrence was amazing. :)

So sorry to hear about your cat. You have my condolences. I found out my 15 year old cat had cancer last November and had to have her put down soon after when her pain became too much. It's one of the most awful things you ever have to as a pet owner to have to make that decision. I know how just horrible it is. I too swore off anymore cats and said that I really more of a dog person anyway. Then one day my stepsister showed up with a tiny grey ball of fur and I was lost... Maybe we're all really just cat people in denial. :)

If you like Jezebel you should give XOJane a visit--lots of real female opinions on female issues. It makes me laugh on a daily basis and always gives me something interesting to think about.

I guess as the last person on the planet who hasn't seen HG yet I'm going to have to cave and see it sooner or later. I'm not too thrilled by any of the cast or the bits of it I've seen so far. But I've been a Jennifer Lawrence fan since way before HG and I have heard she's very good in it from a lot of people.

Sooty is adorable! And the inspiration for the choice of name is, of course, awesome. :D
