In which my existence caused loss of a job..

No, I did not get fired. The coworker I had ranted about before did. I really, really didn't set out to do anything. Her last day was Saturday. My last day to deal with her was tomorrow. Her reaction to my doing my job and using the tiny bit of space left after she spread all her customer's fabric all over the counter, leaving maybe two feet to ( Read more... )

madness, work, not helpful, coworker trouble

Oh, my dear. I would say she deserves three days loss of pay. Think of it as indirect payment for your pain and suffering. Remember what Em says, "Revenge is the best revenge." Even though you didn't set out to, you got your revenge.
She is gone forever and you never have to see her again. Keep that in mind. <3

At least you don't have to tolerate her bullshit anymore. Yeah, you were a catalyst in getting her fired, but it isn't as if she cooperated with your boss and was half-reasonable about it. She acted like a five year old to her boss! That's grounds enough for a firing, nevermind the other idiotic crap she's done.

I'm sorry you feel so terribly about this, but it seems to me to be for the best. If one is to act like an asshole to those one works with, one has to deal with the backlash. Like Emilie's said countless times, you beat the dog, you keep beating the dog, you beat the fucking dog, and one day it's going to turn around and bite your face off.

You didn't get her fired. Her horrible attitude and the way she treated people got her fired. You didn't do anything wrong.

Btw, this is WinterandTucker from twitter. I will be friending you. ;)

Considering I had 10-inch long fabric shears in my hand, I feel I behaved quite admirably by not snapping back at her. I could have stabbed her and felt quite good about myself. For about five minutes.

I figure it would have been about five minutes because I figure that's about how long it would take for the police to arrive.
