Uhhuh. The state SC's schools are in? Suuuuure. I'll look for it, darlin'. It sounds interesting. But don't expect US schools to become *gasp* liberalish!

As a Navajo, the idea that "American History" started at the earliest with Columbus - some books start with Jamestown - just left me with the worst of bad tastes in my mouth..

You know, it's odd. By the time you get to grade 10 or so, you realize that the history books are warped and gloss over anything that would be a black mark on 'American History.' It's not until you get a great (foreign) professor in college that you find out just how much editing has been done. I read this book (and several others) on his rec. Very cool guy.
