This year’s vacation with
gomijacogeo was to visit
jikme and
tsennyipa in Tucson, where I had been in
'05 and
'06. We flew Southwest into Phoenix (paying extra for Group A seats is a good deal; we were nearly the first on the plane in both directions). Everything went extremely smoothly upon landing, and we were quickly on our way to Tucson. The evening sun was bright

The Pima Air and Space Museum is my favorite place in Tucson!

To be more clear, a couple of the outside planes appeared to be mothballed (i.e. effort was made to slow degradation) as opposed to the majority that were totally exposed to the elements.
Specifically, in the case of the Super Guppy, there are about 10 planes still flying and I could see the one on display still possibly being used as a source of spare parts.
