So... a bunch of you will be really disappointed in me, but it's all been just really bad timing. But I'm dropping Electronic Music again. I know! I know! But I can pick it up again next year. I have my priorities right now (PCC, other classes) that I've dedicated myself to, that I've already put effort into, and even while sitting in Electronic

oh for sure i'll always be interested in electronic music. a big reason why i went for the program was because i couldn't afford gear of my own, and i wanted real time and experience in a studio. i'm thinking, if i somehow don't actually minor in electronic music, i'll get a job or do my whatever grad or law school shit, continue to pursue it academically, if there are grad courses or something. then i'll save up money to buy my own MIDI keyboard and sampler, and more sophisticated editing software (not that Audacity isn't brilliant as it is :) ) and start to build a studio of my own! the dream's still there, it's just i can't start on it right now.

as for this summer...

before i start, lemme just say that i miss my racheldarling a whole lot, and that I will take as many digivid clips of Sloan as i can at Coachella (once Marissa and I figure out how to get down there!)
but as for living in "The Cruz" (hehe Glory Daze), i am actually planning on taking Summer Session, so i'll be here pretty much the whole summer save for a few weeks after Sesh2. Marissa's also staying for a writing course, if i'm not mistaken? but hmm... i'm sure something can be worked out for your friend?
maybe i should write you that nice handwritten letter i promised like a million years ago... ;)

Where are you? It's like you don't live here anymore :( You are so busy with your play. Is that next weekend? When? My Dad might be visiting but I want to go. Luckily you will be all mine Coachella weekend. Which is my reason for commenting in your journal. I think we have resolved the transportation issue... and our savior is a handsome young man named Richard with rental car power (his brakes are fucked up.) Rental car= 95$ + gas. I don't know if he is going all the way to Palm Springs with us or not, or visiting his uncle after Robin Guthrie, but Josh has agreed to meet us at Robin Guthrie to drive over there so we'd be ALL good. It would be soo nice if this worked out.
