So it's been about forever since I posted last. I've had a few opportunities that I didn't take, mostly because I was concentrating more on how much my feet hurt and what I needed to do to be ready for school come spring.
So, first off- Job.
Job is good. Job has cute boys and girls who are all, apparently, taken. Though, I'm hopeful about this one guy. He's really, really cute and he's quiet. Job is at Current, the place that sells all sorts of cards and stuff. Though, I don't actually work in the Current area. I work in the 'Colorful Images' area (go to www.colorfulimages.com if you wanna see some of the awesome crap that I pack up to send people). I do assembly- this includes packing labels, packing boxes and sealing said boxes. I think my favorite part of the whole thing is the sealer. I'm weird- I like putting the packing paper in the box (though, goddess knows I absolutely despise the big boxes) and sending it through the sealing machine. It's fast and it makes the day go fast.
Secondly, Mom and old house-
Mom is out of the hospital and is currently going through rehab. She gets better every day. Though, it does feel (most of the time) sort of like a dream because I can remember clearly the day that all this crap started. It makes me dizzy to think of all the changes that I've gone through, both in body and in mind, to have come this far. It's freakin' crazy, is what it is. It really hit home just how far we've come when we went to see the old house. Now, the people who were handling it said that it was gone. COMPLETELY gone- burned down, gone up in a big fireball; nothing but ashes. But it was still standing there, like it hadn't ever been lived in or touched, gutted and creepy. It was just... creepy. But the weird thing was that it just didn't feel like going home any more, when we were heading down the road towards it. It was just the place that I'd come from, a stepping stone in the road of my life. What's even weirder, though, is that the house I'm currently in doesn't feel quite like home yet, either. There's still the air of 'rental' about it that gives me the heeby-geebies first thing in the morning (though, that may have more to do with my room being over the garage than anything else XD).
But! As some of you may know by now, I'm moving again!
So my new street name is really strange. But the house is nice. It's warm. And without pictures, that's the only way I can describe the whole thing. It feels far more like home than the place we're currently staying in. Move date is set for Dec. 15. Just a couple weeks away and I hope to every god and goddess that exsists (and some who don't, sadly) that I don't have to work that Saturday.
