So last night I finished watching Journey’s End and was full of squee and ready to make a 100 icons. I logged onto LJ and felt like I had been doused with a bucket of ice water. I couldn’t believe all the negativity and fail. So although I never write my own reaction post, I figured I would this time since my opinion seems to be so different from

I predicted Donna being mind-wiped some time ago - but I did NOT expect it to be so brutal - that's what's upset me (and probably a lot of others too)...

And it's the fact that Donna was so bloody awesome and Ten-ish - and then reduced to being Donna of TRB that makes it so gut-wrenchingly brutal.

As for Human!Ten - he's got a human body insofar as he's got just one heart and no ability to regenerate, BUT he's grown from a Time Lord's hand - so far as I can see, that means his brain's more capable of holding the Time Lord memories than Donna's which is human with the Time Lord memories in it. She is still purely human...

I agree that it was brutally invasive the way it was done. I guess it just doesn't bother as much is because I absolutely truly believe it will get changed via the ring somehow. Maybe I'm just delusional, but it works for me.

I do feel, as I've seen on several journals, that of the 3 main companions, Martha got the best outcome. Now that is bad considering that she still hasn't gotten that apology! (that we've seen)
