Expelled got flunked. . .again.

So, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed opened this weekend.

It made it to ninth (!) in the box office ratings and grossed about 3.15 million dollars.

Ninth in the box office ratings.

And only made three million and change.

I dunno, man. . .something ain't right.

At least it's a flop. Sicko opened with half as many screens and made twenty

By my math (at an average of $10 per ticket) only 315 people per theater this weekend saw Expelled. If there were four showings a day for three days (Friday through Sunday), that would mean that there were approximately 27 people per showing (26.25 people).

But there just isn't that much out there right now. But I'll bet you anything that they will try and spin this with claims of Expelled becomes a top ten movie in it's first weekend!
