If I ever am in this position, and I really can't say I won't be, I feel much more prepared to deal with it! Especially useful is the issue of the "no-look shot" which is reminiscent of the "no-look pass" in basketball.

I hardly ever use this Knicks icon, so I hope you understand how rare a moment this is!

 I'm so glad I could provide you a space to use that nifty icon. :)

My Asian and I both get that no look shot on occasion and it always makes you feel like a super hero. :D

I took archery as a Education major PE college elective. (All education majors at my school had to take PE regardless.)
Interesting!

I'm betting that archery standing still is a lot different than when people are running at you to hit you. :D

This was so much fun to read, and a great way to work in the prompt. I especially loved the idea of "predictamancy" -- great word!

I love, love, love your first line and your last line! This was fun to read and I think I need to brush up on my running skills.

aim for the shot that will be
This sounds almost zenlike, phrased this way.

It sounds as if your events are more all-out battles than just one-on-one action, which must be pretty entertaining!

I only do archery in the big battles because it's not very defensive. One on one or small field battles I'm more likely to have a sword and shield. They're both fun, but in different ways. :D
