So, I want to do something nice for people and I'm short of money but have some time on my hands.  Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: If your friend doesn’t have a thread created for them then leave a comment with their name as the title and say what you love about them. If there is a thread for somebody then reply to the original comment

i'm not big on humans. they're big and scary and sometimes they step on tails. and they're so fussy about being bitten or scratched.

but this human - this one - is okay. he promotes proper usage of can openers, and i like to imagine that he smells a bit like tuna.

lady with the can opener mentions that he is also patient, fair, and hard working - and that he has a wicked sense of humor, whatever that means.

i just like how he talks about tuna.

There's an awful lot more to Gary than the evil villain he portrays when he runs Idol and it's ALL good (no matter what he says!). He's far too nice for his own good, bends over backwards to be as fair as he possibly can and he's also a fantastic friend, kind, patient and supportive.

Gary's one of the good guys. *kicks him to make sure he remembers*

I am confused though, based on other threads I've read, is this where I act all surprised and flattered and oh so unworthy because No, YOU rock!. If so, insert that.

I want to make sure that I get this right.

I agree, Gary is OK -- for a human. =)

Seriously, tho, there's not enough time or bandwidth to praise the work he does here on LJ with Idol, etc., and what a cool person he is otherwise.

Don't worry Gizmo, people don't understand some of the things she says either. If you don't, and you're a cat, what chance do we can opener holders have??? None.

Tell her to get you some more tuna. You've had a rough day, whereas all she has to do is enjoy how cute you are and provide cans!

Gary is officially cat-approved, it's true. My five can vouch for that. In fact, the youngest reminds me of Cinder. Which is a Big Deal.

Other than that, he's kinda cool. Sometimes. We share a love of eating steak. Because eating steak makes hippie's hackey sacks go in the gutter, you know. And that makes Gary smile.

Despite his nasty ill-tempered feelings for foreigners... anybody not living in his home... Gary is a good guy at heart. He definitely catches far more crap than deserved and gets far less credit than deserved. He's got a heart o' gold hidden within that crabby, crusty candy coating.
