So, I want to do something nice for people and I'm short of money but have some time on my hands.  Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: If your friend doesn’t have a thread created for them then leave a comment with their name as the title and say what you love about them. If there is a thread for somebody then reply to the original comment

slipjig is a beautiful man with the soul of a poet. He sees the world in a completely unique way, with immense kindness and generosity of spirit. He is a secret genius, rarely showy about it, but thinking on twelve levels at any given moment. He has a rich world inside his head, and that sometimes makes it hard for him to live down here with the rest of us, but he somehow finds a way to wrap me up and ground me any time I get lost in my own overly-active mind. He's the most amazing lover, friend, boyfriend, partner, and I can't wait to be his wife.

It's been amazing to watch all the wonderful things Adam's doing with his life these days. I'm very glad he chooses to share it with the rest of us.

Funny as all hell, easy to talk to, and more gregarious and talented than he gives himself credit for. I'm so happy and proud of him that he's gotten up the confidence to do more with his music, and I wish him nothing but success and continued comfort with his ever-expanding abilities.

Slipjig crossed my orbit at a very fragile point in my life, and frankly I was surprised at the resonance he set up. I was walking wary of male friends at the time, but there was something at once comforting, and intriguing about him that got right through the scar tissue of those days. He presents himself as self effacing and demure, and yet his rakish humour will not be contained, nor will his hunger for delight and joy. That's what I found, and still find irresistable about him -- watching him enjoy himself. I could feast on that forever.

All that, and he shares my love of music. Don't get much better, really.

Slipjig's relationship with his kids always inspires me.
Not only is he a great friend, funny as hell and has wicked good taste in music, he seems like a really cool dad.

He is music and puzzles and warm long evenings lost in talking and other things so the big bad world falls away.
