So, I want to do something nice for people and I'm short of money but have some time on my hands. Thus I propose a love post.

Here's the deal: If your friend doesn’t have a thread created for them then leave a comment with their name as the title and say what you love about them. If there is a thread for somebody then reply to the original comment ( Read more... )

The man behind the curtain... despite all of his evil posturing, Gary is a very good guy. He's got a good heart, he's funny as hell and is just an all around good egg. Thank you for giving so much to all of us by giving so much of yourself through Idol. I can honestly say it *has* changed my life in a lot of different and totally unexpected ways. Thank you, Gary. I absolutely appreciate all you do.

If it wasn't for Gary I wouldn't be writing nearly as much ... or wearing out the F5 key on every keyboard I come across. Despite all that I'm still glad he's around as he keeps us thinking and on our toes.

Gary is such a great guy. He works so hard for Idol, puts his heart into it for us. I appreciate his dedication beyond words. Outside of that even? He's a fantastic person with such a big heart. He deserves so much happiness in life.

That there is one awesome dude. The LJ Idol phenomenon has had an immeasurably positive impact on my life, and it's all thanks to Gary! He's definitely a keeper, in so many ways. His lady's a lucky one! :)

Gary is amazing - he is even handed, he is clever, he is diabolical, with a great sense of fun. Without him, there wouldn't be such a sense of community in idol. I don't know him well outside of idol (actually not at all) but I imagine he must be an awesome friend, if he gives that much to people who he doesn't even know.

I am very impressed with his organizational abilities and persistence. To write an entry a day every day... for months. That's some dedication.

I don't know that I can improve on these sentiments - in fact, I'm pretty sure I can't, so I just want to heartily endorse your comment.

Gary is amazing for making Idol and running it. But he's also amazing for who is apart from Idol. I also know him on FB and he genuinely cares for his friends and loves children. Overall, he's someone who gives from the heart and I just hope he knows he is appreciated.

Without Gary, there would be no LJ Idol, and therefore chances of meeting some of my favourite people in the entire world would've been highly, highly unlikely. Idol inspired me to push myself further in places I've long wanted to go but never had the courage to do, so for that I have to tip my hat to him and say thanks.

Gary is one heck of a fine fellow, and I can certify that he gives good hugs, too! Without his machinations, I'd have a much smaller Flist, a few hundred more hours of sleep, and way too much free time on my hands, LOL.

If it weren't for Gary, I'd be in danger of forgetting that writing is fun, not just that thing I have to do because job or school is making me. Thanks for providing a sandbox for stress relief.

He's created a fun community that has helped me to write stuff that's actual stuff and not just LJ-whining. That's impressive (to me), considering my writer's block is seemingly immortal & impossible to kill. The fact that I've written anything creatively at all is AWESOME with awesome sprinkles on top. I can't believe I've actually been showing my stuff to people (kind of a requirement in Idol, heh), as well. So, thank you! :)

Gary is the mastermind for the whole show. He has to be a super good sport to take all the ribbing and kidding that we throw at him. He always manages to set out clear expectations and fair rules (his rules)to keep the game fun and interesting. It would never be the same without him!
