As promised on tumblr, here is the thread where we can yammer about Virgil's siblings getting up in Skullmaster's grill and a whole bunch of other related stuff . . .
So yes, Virgil gets a new sibling in the form of Eris, and she was probably inspired by my rampaging around Skyrim's countryside as my sneaky archer Dragonborn. Her feathers would be some grayish tint, not sure what color of robe she'd be wearing, but probably a darker color. She favors a bow as her weapon, though I also see her with daggers/throwing needles . . . she wouldn't have flashy spells like Serabi does, as with her role she wouldn't need them. Not that she couldn't unload a few heavier spells in a pinch, but why bother with that when an arrow or dagger to the back gets the job done just as well? She would've handled the dirtier sorts of jobs for the Lemurian government. Her attitude about it would be, well, sometimes someone has to be removed from the picture for the greater good.
Serabi is still quite powerful indeed, and her role would've been more mobile artillery/aerial bombardment . . . she can hold her own in close, but her specialty would be blasting swaths out of somebody else's infantry divisions. Probably not as stupidly strong as
Nanoha, but you get the idea. Big spells would need charge time, so unless she was free from distractions she would probably rely on things that cast quickly.
The differing roles would be because each Lemurian would possess varying levels of power. Some can be high mages like Serabi, the less powerful are in the regular army, and the ones with little power and yet excellent minds like Virgil could stay home and enjoy more scholarly pursuits. Granted, I don't think he really had a choice in the matter of his profession, but if he had he probably would've ended up as a scholar anyway. Regardless of how good his strategies might've been, he's so out of place on a battlefield it's not funny.
And as for when these two would decide to make their appearance, I decided it would probably be after Max reset time. They would be aware of it, given what they are . . . also, knowing Virgil, if they'd decided to intervene while the majority of the prophecy still applied it probably would've come down to an actual fight. They love him and as far as they're concerned he's been through enough, so they wouldn't force him to try and stop them. But once the only niggling detail was Skullmaster's demise, Serabi and Eris would be happy to show up every now and then to offer some help.
Proabably not both of them at once, not sure Virgil could handle dealing with both of his older sisters at the same time, though I do have one idea . . . which I will get to working on when it's not 5 AM over here.
