Texas is terrible.  I've never had an archaeology job that I hate so much.  List of grievances: every transect is a wall of briars, giant spiders keep landing on my nose, there are poisonous snakes hiding under the pine straw,  the dirt is as hard as rock, I keep falling into cancer creek, and there are bombs going off all around us.  And all that

I really was thinking of applying to University of Michigan this year. Their anthro department is awesome. But it's too late--I didn't even take the GREs yet.
