I've been learning lots of new things as well as brushing up on older and half-remembered skills. I will say this, though...after spending several hours using VIM almost exclusively it can be something of a challenge to remember that ESC doesn't throw me into a non-insert mode where I can use H, J, K, and L to scroll quickly through a document, and that I really can't use those keys to scroll through a webpage.

I hear you. After spending a long time painting in Photoshop, I keep forgetting that I can't just hold down the spacebar and use the mouse to move the page around for navigation. I usually realize this once the page starts scrolling instead. Oops.

It's amazing how often you need to learn new stuff in the Website design biz. A few years puts you completely out of date. Good Luck learning!

It's not "apartment finding" it is "moving in". I already know where I'll be going, it's just a matter of timing things.

As for the web design stuff...I'm only having to learn scads and scads of new stuff because I more or less completely stopped for a couple of years. Had I been keeping up with it I probably would have been picking up these skills all along the way.
