On a recommendation, I picked up 'A Guarded Love' and started reading it. Simply fantastic. Indeed, I rather don't want to put it down but unfortunately, life calls at certain moments.

I thank you all for coming out to Natsumi's debut. It was a fantastic event that drew in a full house. It seems our newest kitty is quite popular. I was even ( Read more... )

Why am I not surprised you like that kind of trash romance fiction? I suppose I shouldn't be, it's probably your substitute for a meaningful relationship. Or a soul.

They're far more entertaining than all those boring books you read. I don't get how someone can read them. They're all so dull and dry and make the most excellent helpers when one is trying to sleep.

You mean my academic titles? Those are for education, not pleasure. For that I prefer poetry, which no doubt you would also not 'get'.

Matching a few words that rhyme has no real purpose other than to take up space in a book.

Can I read your copy?

...I'm not that popular....Why not? Now I'm not even allowed to get fresh air?

Perhaps when I'm done, dear.

It's about the incident in the garden. I'm sure you've heard by now and I'd rather not reveal the details of what happened over such a public medium.

...When you're not reading it?

I know but still..I don't want to be stuck inside all day.

At that time, yes.

It's a bit of a request, I understand. Perhaps going out with another? Safety in numbers and all.

I do not believe that a book such as one of romance would interest me. I don't believe in such things.

Ah. I passed The Lady during the evening, it looked very... noisy.

You sound rather jaded on the topic of love and romance. Understandable as I'd probably be the same if it weren't for being a hopeless romantic.

Stop in some time. I'm sure you'll find something you like. Everyone always does even old frumpy pants up there though I wish he'd find a reason to stay away from it for good too.

I found such things to be pointless long ago. Romance can easily be overthrown by lust. Feelings like love.. no, I don't believe in it anymore.

I wouldn't count on it. Your business is along the same lines as my own, so it would just be rather pointless. So you won't be seeing me there.

Oh? And just what sort of business are you in/think I run?

Love and lust are not mutually exclusive though. You can have both with a person or just one. Perhaps one day you'll understand and can get over the jaded-ness towards the topic.

Maybe it was a cat fight in you're garden. >.>

I can assure you that it wasn't a cat.
