I know so many other intellectual people worry about dementia or Alzheimer's. I'm not too hung up honestly. If nothing else, having had plenty of experience with psychedelics has made me comfortable keeping even-keel during periods of ego death. What most people worry about Alzheimer's is the fact that you dip in and out of lucidity. If it was a simple case of your brain turning to frazzled mush then it would seem a comparatively easy way to see your life out. Me, I'm still hoping to go the way that Peter Sellars did (except the bit about shagging Britt Ekland, obviously.

I guess I see, although in my experience, the lucidity of someone messed up is nowhere near the ballpark of sober lucidity.
