[that means Ukitake, Kyouraku, Byakuya, Team Awesome, ah...I suppose if you want to know he's here leave a note? it's probably fine...]

My my~! What a fine mess all of this is. And here I thought I'd seen the last of my work being bastardized for the sake of wickedness. I suppose that just goes to show you that people will honestly do anything to get attention, now won't they~ I at least hope I don't have to tell any of you that this was most assuredly not my idea. Funny how well it coincided with my return; it's almost as if Aizen had planned everything out ahead of time, now isn't it.

Thus far, the only cases I've heard anything about were those of Muguruma-san and Hitsugaya-san...if anyone has any notes they would like to compare, I'm certainly amenable to the idea. This strain of Hollowfication seems inconsistent with the results of my initial experiments with the Hougyoku, so there's not much I can do as things stand at the moment, not without more information. I refuse to allow Aizen and his band of traitors to further smear my work with the tarnish of their ambitions, so rest assured I'm going to do everything in my power to help control this situation.

[filtered to Vaizard, including Ichigo]

I suppose it's time to inform all of you that I'm back in town, and perhaps assure you I had no part in what's happening right now. I'd like to think perhaps you know me well enough to have not suspected me, but it never hurts to cover one's ass. Once I get some more data regarding Muguruma-san's situation, I'll certainly be working on figuring things out; this isn't like what happened a century ago, and thus I'm not sure how much I can do to reverse it...but this is inexcusable, and I certainly won't allow it to continue unhindered.

Unfortunately, with the Central 46 planted firmly beneath Aizen's thumb, I can't allow my whereabouts to be known, however if any of you have any information or need of my services, feel free to send me a butterfly. I'm certain it will find its way to me~ ♥

[a note left for Yoruichi at the shop for her to find upon waking]

Good morning~ ♥
I'm sorry I had to cut out so suddenly and without ceremony, but it seems this situation in Seireitei was in more dire need of my attention than I had given it credit for. You know how to reach me if the need arises. I don't know how long I'll be here or where I'll be at any given moment, though I've no doubt we may bump into each other if we try~ Take care--I feel this is far worse than we may have feared.

[Private, jotted down in a very worn-out little spiral memo pad]

Sometimes I wonder if I'm not the butt of the largest cosmic joke in the history of everything... ...Shut up, Benihime.

[Project Log]
• REIATSU-MASK: Bracelets -- Successful. The infiltration of Hueco Mundo went...well, I can't say without nary a hitch, as Abarai-san was gravely injured, and Kurosaki-san sustained some injuries as well, but the reiatsu blockers seemed to do their job well enough. Kuchiki-san and Abarai-san remained untraceable with just one of them, and the two were sufficient for Kurosaki-san, which is good news indeed. However, I'm mildly amused to hear that the boys apparently thought they were reiatsu dampeners, as well, and removed them at one point. The bracelets, in fact, do nothing to hinder the energy of the bearer--only mask it. However Abarai-san apparently believed they were dampeners as well, and for some reason didn't release his full power until he had removed the bracelet. What an amusing psychosomatic reaction~ ♥

• PORTABLE GIGAI: Still a work in progress. Meh. I remain dissatisfied with the elasticity, and I still can't get the joints quite right. Would that I had my equipment from the Twelfth at my disposal for this one...

• LSD: Of course it's not actual LSD. But Kurotsuchi-taichou certainly did have an interesting idea with the little trick he used on Szayel-Apporo Grantz two years ago. I've taken the less unpleasant parts of his idea and put them together into a lovely little concoction that may come in handy if I can work out the kinks. Thus far tests have shown patchy results in the direction of allowing the subject to actually comprehend the world at a much faster speed than normal, giving them reflexes and reaction time that are, in fact, faster than the eye can follow. Unfortunately the side effects are rather unpleasant at the moment--racing heart, high fever, and tremors... Needs moar cowbell I'll have to do some more work with this one...I'm thinking it may just take continued exposure for the body to adapt. We'll see.

Still working with the kidou-less kidou. Also thought to tweak at some of the fancier kidou I've seen floating about--the decorative fireworks are rather charming. Might make for some interesting decoy-work if I can wrangle them properly. We'll see. I've also concocted a lovely little anticoagulent that would probably please Senbonzakura--nothing like flaying your opponent with flair. I have never seen Benihime so amused by something so simple. Also in the works is a tracking device that can be embedded subcutaneously with a modified kidou attack. This one still needs tweaking.

shenanigans, captain's log, busy busy
