FFC/FPC cables, how to do breadboard stuff?

So, I have a project where I've been given a component that has FFC/FPC cables. I believe I'll need to use it on a breadboard, but I can't find connectors for this component that aren't surface mount devices. What's the usual solution to this?

I believe the usual solution is to make a small PCB with the connector on it, and male headers facing down to plug into the breadboard. For some examples see 1, 2. However, for your particular connector I think there's a good chance you'd have to make your own.

I'll second that proposed solution.
