Currently roaring through Stone Butch Blues for my Queer Lit class. It's... gah. Really. A memoir of pre-Stonewall growing up butch in Buffalo, NY. It's by Leslie Feinberg, an unbelievable trans activist.

This is a breathtaking passage, but could be VERY triggery. Hence, under cut.

Someone called my gentleman friend a kike the other day. It took everything I had not to break the bastard's face; Crash just shrugged like it wasn't even a big deal, which made me want to cry. I will never understand why people need to be so cruel to each other over shit that does not even affect them.

Also, that Imogen song is KILLING ME.
