I've now been in Italy for a little over a month and I'm starting to feel the burn. On the plus side, I'm starting to get along with the other students a little better. On the downside, I'm not getting along with the professors as well. Because of the drama that's happened this year on top of the already enthreatened program, we're all treated ( Read more... )

Beautiful once again! anonymous October 21 2007, 17:11:08 UTC
Sorry to hear your batteries died. Sounds like you are enjoying taking pictures at least as much as we enjoy seeing them.

I know you are having the chance of a lifetime to soak in beauty and art and experiences you would never get any other way. Perhaps you are learning many things, perhaps more, than can be taught in a class.

Remember, even the Garden of Eden had a snake. The more lovely the garden, the more annoying the snake. You can still soak up as much of the good stuff as you can. It sounds like you are getting a lot out of this.

I'm not sure a day will come when someone doesn't try to treat others like children. We have a few like that at work. The power is in knowing who you really are. Another person's power over you is only temporary at best. But you know this. Crap! You and Jenn are the best to go to for advise I know.

Now reply and show your friends how your own wisdom can leave me in the dust! I'm your mom. I love it when you do that!

Love you.

I'm not sure if I can leave you in the dust. I'd rather bring you along with me. I've been somewhat aloof in this group, so I haven't filled the role of "secret bearer" and "advice giver" that much, which is a nice break. All I have is a professor trying to get me to join Mensa, which is new.

Either way, whatever I accomplish is still accredited to the way I was raised and who it was do raised me.
