Yep. Though, to be honest, it was a tandem jump, and the instructor is the one who pulled the cord.
However, I was the first one to jump, which meant: I had to kneel down inside the plane behind that plastic door, raise it up myself, then scoot forward on my knees to the edge, lean out as far as I could over the over edge, then the instructor sort of fell into me and we somersaulted out into the air!
Right-o, AirForceOne! I take it you'll regale me with your adventures solo jumping then? ;)
I didn't really think about it beforehand, was just focused on doing it. But afterwards, definitely want to put in the time and training to get to a solo jump. It's like nothing I've ever experienced, and my only regret was that I couldn't do any sort of aerial acrobatics - that's where the solo part comes in.
This is on the list that I haven't made yet. Of course, I don't now if I will ever be able to pull it off. It's strange, I don't have a fear of heights, but I do have a fear of falling, I have always wanted to experience the free fall of parachuting, but I don't know how my fear will come into play. Once day, I will find out.
