I quite liked this, so much that I glanced at it this morning as I was getting ready for work (just to see which piece of art you wrote for, you see) and ended up reading the whole thing (and being a tiny bit late for work), especially as I started to turn back when I saw the word "Azkaban" but then I said, "no! It's Brighty!" You make angst good :D I always end up finding myself comforted by your writing.

This was quite different and quite original. It is Oh So Very 70's (I had a memory of my favorite bell bottoms with the butterfly on the leg :D), quite authentic in a way beyond just the references to the music and the books, as is the art. It was a good match, I think, you and chalada. I liked very much that it was Remus who grounded Sirius. I like your descriptions, particularly of Remus' gifts. I love how you carry your vision of Remus' parents through your stories (which may be one reason I find your work comforting--there's a familiarity that runs through them all). In the end, I even liked that you begin and end with Sirius ( ... )

Thank you! What a fantastic review!

And I'm glad it felt geniunely '70's. That's very much what I was going for, my dear. Also, bless you for noticing that Remus was meant to ground Sirius. That is very much what I saw in the art and I wanted to make that come alive.

Thanks, again!

You know I love this! I love that you approached this in a unexpected way, that you weren't afraid to go there with the angst and yet, the tone of it isn't angsty. Remus' parents as you write them are probably my favourite take on the Lupins I've read, so I was thrilled that they showed up here, even if they were just mentioned.

I won't quote every part I loved back to you, but just this:

Eight notes sounded in his skull, deeply synthesized and punctuated by the steady, tinny beat of the high-hat. “On the Run.” As if in time, a great, blue cloud of pulsing colour rose up and surrounded the two flying boys. Brilliant blues flashed by, turning to violet with sudden, brave abandon. Fire-strewn reds and oranges streaked through the now-darkening sky, and Sirius nearly forgot to breathe. Still, Remus held him closely, keeping him safe. Safe. Warm. Loved. Even the violent spears of screaming alarm clocks in “Time” failed to bring him down, for he was everything - and best of all, he was with Remus. The whole section where you describe ( ... )

And thank YOU for being an awesome beta!

I have to admit that I love Pink Floyd and have probably listed to the album a million times.

And I'm glad you like Remus' family. They're actually some of my favorite people to write.

Thanks, again.

Oh, this was so lovely, and the words you used, they read like art to me. They were rich and yummy and the most perfect ways. This was sad and beautiful, and made me ache.

I laughed for the first time in a long time at so many parts - your lovely portrayals of the Marauder comraderie (lol, say that 3 times fast!). I loved the rhymes with the comb! And OH MAN, "El esdee" if I read that with a Spanish accent, I can barely contain the laughter, it's so ridiculous, and so them hahahaha.

And how Sirius knows Remus so well, and how well you let us know that Remus loves him back. And lastly, the way you described Sirius fear and doubt right before. I felt it too, and then swoop in with Remus reassuring him, aaaaawwwwwwwww.

I loved this. Xxxxx

Thank you so much! This review means a lot to me, really. the words you used, they read like art to me. Damn. THANK YOU!

I have a weakness for magical objects talking. (Wait 'till you real my Small Gifts fic.) Siriusly, though, they're fun to write. Hell, Marauders are fun to write.

Thanks, again!

This was definitely the perfect art for you. I love what you did with it. Clever Sirius to figure out a way to temper and to keep most of his memories. They would so totally have done acid if they could get their hands on it back then. I loved all of Remus' family members you described. I bet their holiday get-togethers were something to talk about. ;) Outta sight!

And, yeah, I was thrilled when I say what art I'd gotten.

This was so well done! You really used the art so well, and I loved how it all came together inside of canon. It was a wonderful "trippy" experience, but then again, so real and down to earth at the same, and you wrote it all brilliantly. After I read Sirius' thought, it took me a second to remember I was actually in Azkaban with him.... Wonderful, and sad and brilliant <3

Fantastic job <3
