Freaking awesome beginning. Sirius flopped over in the bed and snuffled his nose into the pillow, searching out the scent that always made his heart flutter like a silly first year girl's (not that he'd ever tell James or Pete that). When he found it, his lips slowly pulled up into a sleepy, soppy smile and he inhaled deeply. The smell of crisp autumn leaves, soap, and the smallest hint of chocolate travelled up his nose and straight to his very core, causing his stomach to flip pleasantly.

This was great, and rather a nice compliment to the angst of the other posting, too, might I add. It was funny and sweet and just a lot of fun. Speaking of funny, I particularly liked this bit: "Would you happen to be aware that your arse is smoking?" Sirius asked.

Frank swallowed. "Well, I - No, I wasn't, but, um…thank you?"

"No, no," Sirius said, shaking his head in exasperation. "You are literally smoking." He motioned to Frank's backside. and this: Peter heaved a sigh and lifted a goop covered hand to rub at his neck sheepishly. What little ( ... )

Delightful! Sirius doesn't like to have to work hard for something, does he? I love the bits of everyone else going mad, crape and cake batter and all--especially Mrs. Norris' party hat!

I really enjoyed this. I appreciated Remus' bad rhyming. It gave him real personality without him even being in those scenes.

Frank made me laugh. Also, I appreciate that Peter was present and funny!

The real light was Sirius, though. There was the quirky personality of a wizard mixed with slightly crazy teenage boy and it made me smile. :)

So funny and sweet. I love your writing style here, it has a very adolescent texture to it, which is perfect in this setting. Mischievous Remus and baffled but adventuresome Sirius are adorable, plus Sirius' canineisms make me squee!
