I must say that before seeing the pics and the captions, I didn't quite get what you were trying to say but now I do. And yeah, it makes me feel like I wanna be part of that era and that setting too. So that makes the two of us :)

Most of the move actually takes place in the late 1990s when it was filmed, but looking at that house (and the aunts) it could easily be a hundred years earlier. There is a lovestory between Sally and the marshall that I left out in my description, some background about the aunts and the daughters and a novel by Alice Hoffmann this was inspired by, but for me the main part are the strong bonds between these three generations of women. How often do we see stories about families held together by a line of female ancestors, when in reality it's so often the women who are the glue in family relationships? And hey, a nice girls night in with pleasant company and fitting music never hurts either. ;o)
