Cabbage blue is actually really pretty, I don't think I would have ever guessed that.
That song is amusing. I always wondered what English sounds like to non-native speakers, that's probably the closest I'll get to knowing. I was tempted to go around saying cellar door to see if it made me feel like I was being pretty. I really just felt silly...
Yes, I loved that shade. Beets make a very nice red, as well.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who wonders about that stuff! Language is so interesting. I have a hard time with "cellar door" because I just think of dark and moldy things, but that's what makes it so intriguing - we're so conditioned with all the imagery and associations that words take on, that we can never possibly see our own language in an unbiased way.
Grrr, Jeremy said the same thing! If I was a hippie, I would be against chemical dyes and I wouldn't drive a truck. I just thought it was a very nice shade of blue that you don't ever see in grocery store dyes.
And besides, what else is cabbage good for? I was trying to make it feel included.
I like to eat cabbage. Maybe it's the Irish heritage. Coleslaw, sauerkraut...sometimes even in fajitas and salads! I'm partial to the green kind though, the red always seems really bitter.
Erhm...I really don't like to eat chemical dyes but that's kind of hypocritical considering I just dyed my hair chemically and enjoy dyeing clothes and fabric with chemicals that just might give me cancer one day.
That video was amazing. Is it weird that I actually liked the song and found the lyrics to make as much sense as most of what's on the radio anyway?
I'm going to name a daughter Selador and all nations will worship her.
When you go to the Metallica concert let me know. I will be there too.
Sorry things suck sometimes.
It's funny you actually experimented with that organic dye stuff. We'd just pulled up that information before Easter, too, and I considered trying it. Yours look amazing.
That's what I found hilarious too...was that for the first minute or so of the video I was thinking, "So...what's the big deal?" thinking it was just some old music video. Because they really do sing like that even when they're trying to make sense.
Did you find the organic dye stuff on Pioneer Woman? Because that's where I saw it. And thanks! It's not like I had to work that hard to make them look that way, though.
