I spent yesterday finishing Good Omens, and was decently sure all the way through which parts were Terry Pratchett’s and which belonged to Neil Gaiman. Interestingly enough, along the lines of the Orson Scott Card/Neil Gaiman full-of-themselves complex, Brandon Sanderson is exactly the same way. He actually read at the English Reading Series last semester (oddly enough . . . apparently he wouldn't agree to it for a long time because he doesn't want to mix with "literature." Reverse snobbery). And he has quite a drooling fan following. Anyway, I got a little irritated with his superciliousness. Darn well-paid sci fi/fantasy authors.

Glad Jeremy gets to move to NE! Even though Santa Barbara/Maria sounds lovely.

I will definitely have to check this Brandon Sanderson out soon. I guess it's time to take up the Wheel of Time series once again, which of course means I'm committing my next year's worth of reading to it. Sigh. Does he write purely sci-fi/fantasy, then?
