A thursday on Hoth--I mean, in Boston.

Wake up to Facebook comments, and play on my phone for a bit before getting up and feeding the fishies.

Do the bathroom thing, then do some stretches. In January I set myself a challenge to do yoga every morning before breakfast, but with all the snowdays and walking to work and stuff, if i just do some stretching i call it good.

Breakfast time. Trying a new cereal...bleh. Don't love it, don't hate it, guess I gotta eat it. I also nibble a little on some pastries a friend brought over the night before.

Silly roommate makes faces at me on her way out. Then I have some extra time so I re-hang my valentines from bf, which all fell down for some reason.

TIme to layer up...First, fleece lined tights. GAME-CHANGER. Love them. Then two pairs of socks, jeans, tank top, long sleeves and a puffy vest. THEN for outside, sweatpants over the jeans, warm boots lined with plastic bags because they've started leaking...and of course jacket hat and scarf. IT'S COLD HERE.

Out into the frozen Hell that is Boston. That snow pile is taller than me, fyi. Also? It was "warm", meaning 20ish degrees.

Trudge trudge trudge...this soft slippery snow is the worst. you just always feel like you're gonna twist your ankle! Blergh. A friend from upstate NY texts me to commisserate.

Arrive at work. It's there...somewhere...you just gotta go around to find the opening in the snow bank. Trixie is wicked happy to see me!

The cleaning lady is there so I quick pick up baby's playmat so she can clean under it. Then i sit and wait for my day to begin (bosses were out with H looking at the daycare she's going to in the fall) .

A bundled baby appears! I unbundle her and we play. Peekaboo is a big hit these days :) We also read books, eat a muffin, and hang out with her parents as they get ready for the day. Before i know it, it's naptime!

I mix up some falafel mix that needs to sit for an hour, and then put the play mat back together. There is a method to my madness, no two adjoining squares may be the same color!

Then I get to sit down and read for a little bit...until she wakes up, drinks her bottle, but won't go back to sleep. We snuggle for a bit. H is the best cuddler!

I fry up some of the falafel, and she eats most of one patty. I have lunch, too!

Potty break for me, then a bum change for her.

We play in her room for a bit, then I decide we have to do SOMETHING so we bundle up and take a short walk to Walgreens and Whole Foods. Kid practically lives at WF cuz it's only 5 minutes walk away...she's in there 2x a day sometimes. They all know her!

Back at home, we read more books and play and then baby gets some more food...these strawberries are her new crack. She's addicted.

Finally, nap number 2! I finish frying up the falafel and have just enough time to clean up before I end up having to rock her back to sleep. Then of course she doesn't wanna wake up! :P

More snuggling! All snuggling, all day, that's us! :) Wrestle with Trixie and play some more until it's time for me to go home.

Walking home...this hill is the bane of my existence and the one reason i hate walking to work. I have walked more often than not since the first blizzard three weeks ago, and my body still hasn't gotten used to this hill...I'm going to force myself to keep walking it even after the snow is gone, just for the challenge! When I finally get home I check on my car to make sure it's easy to get out the next day. I've been walking as much as possible because moving your car is risking losing your spot and not being able to find another...but -15F with windchill is just too cold to walk! I have my limits.

Check the mail, then head into the relative warmth of my apartment. Hi roommate! (btw she says hi, gingerrose)

Shower time! my hair's getting longggg. Nice for winter, but I can't wait to chop it off when it gets hot out! SOMEDAY. Laze about in bed letting the phone charge until...

Boyfriend arrives! We hardly get to see each other these days because of the snow/lack of parking here :( I make us pancakes for dinner because why not.

We watch the latest episode of The Flash (it's actually really good! I love it!), have some *cough cough* cuddle time, and then decide to watch Big Hero 6 again. That takes us right to betime, so that's all for today.
