a second-day-of-Rosh-Hashanah ditl
Wake up earrrly at my parents' house. It's so pretty out back :) As I wash up I start putting things away in my toiletry bag--i've been at my parents' since Thursday but the holiday is finally over so I'm heading back to my place.
Get dressed. I decided to be fancy even though nobody will really see it (you'll see why). For breakfast, a treat--I made apple stuffed challah for the holiday and had some for breakfast toasted with butter and jam. yum!
Quick get my music for the morning in order, then it's off to temple. We warm up and go through the pieces in one of the classrooms downstairs. Then it's a final potty break and robe time! I look like a dork because I forgot all my makeup >.<
Up in my seat...a wild Rabbi appears (guy with the white beard in the distance), time to sing/pray! A few hours later, I say bye to the pretty temple for the week. We just got our walkway redone and it's gorgeous!
Home sweet home (mom can't walk past the garden without grabbing a few weeds) and into comfy clothes again.
Lunch time--pesto focaccia with cheddar, and plums--except the plums turned out to be gross so i had peaches instead.
Have to throw something in the dryer, so while i'm upstairs I pack up. When it's done, I find my mom helping me stuff my present for my newest baby cousin, who's due in under a month! I join in and we get them done (except the final stitching).
Then I help her with HER present, a little baby quilt! I used a few of the same fabrics so it'll all go together. You can't see it but the stripey border to her big squares is sparkly--i love it!
Fast forward--after we finished pinning the quilt, I headed out to my New Apartment! 1hr45 later...there's my building! Check the mail since I accidentally took the key with me so Ry couldn't check it for five days. Hi apartment!
Somebody missed me, awww. First things first, it was a long drive! Then it's snacktime, mama sent me home with banana bread. I might've had two slices.
Lookie what came while i was away! I get it set up because i love setting things up. it's so pretty!
Then i head out for a walk to stretch out. It's pretty where we live :) Our town's mascot is the Westie, so there are statues like this all over the place.
Destination of the walk--library! It's in an old church elementary school while they build a new building RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM ME. The reason I went was for the HP2 cd for ryan--he's not a reader, but i got him to listen to HP and now he likes it! I of course got a bunch of other things too.
See this house on the way home...the mortgage payment would be less than our rent. and our rent is CHEAP. wow. I had to go back inside to get my RSVP card to my cousin's wedding so I didn't forget to mail it. This is the back of our building--it's so pretty. Ry's empty parking space isn't pretty tho :(
I bring this in--fits perfectly! We lack drawer space for a "junk drawer" or anything like that, so i picked this up at Walmart. Then it's finally dinner time...roasted sweet potato, chicken-apple sausage, and rice pilaf...dinner for three days right there. Yum.
Work on my back with my (actually my parents' but i stole it) TheraCane and remember to make a massage appointment. Then I zone out watching tv...
Until Ryan gets home! Yes, we are finally finally living together, and he's working at Lego HQ. He comes home with new sets a LOT. haha. We watch tv until just about midnight, then just go bed.
