Wow. That was...wow.

You're my hero for the day, and for Christmas I Shall buy you a soap box AND a park from which you shall preach.

I am...speechless. You have done the impossible: stricken me to the point of no words to desribe how awesome this really is.

Naturally, dogmatism in Christianity leads to judgment, and not only of non-Christians--often the worst persecution of all is directed at people who differ only the rituals meant to express the same core beliefs. People assume that because I am a Christian, I must show it in exactly same way that they do, and adopt the same rigid doctrines. I find that absurd. If God is what we Christians claim He is, then no single, unchanging perspective could even come close to fully understanding or experiencing Him, so what is the sense in restricting our spirituality to the Biblical interpretations of a few stuffy theologians?

It was nice coming across your journal, Michael.

I agree totally with that point. I failed to mention that in my speech because well.... the speech already was like 6 min long when i read it in class and besides i wrote it in one night without revising. Anyhow i do see the point that you clearly make. Christians often single out other christians jsut because they worship in different ways. To me god is an abstract concept so there should be no rules to follow an abstract concept of anykind. I hate how people think that their way of interpretting something is only right. *sigh* it sucks. Either way i managed to piss off my entire class when i read it. People were "offended". I see it as if i managed to piss a few people off then i did something right. Becuaes hopefully now they will think about some thigns before thye spout off their opinions and hurt others.
