Brief update
- I shaved my face. Feels good, but I'll grow it back.
- Went to Fiesta de los Osos in Tucson. Stayed with sonoranbear and Steve (no LJ anymore?), which made it really mellow. I drove myself, kind of a rough drive to Tucson and I got a "fix-it" ticket for my license plate light. Easy drive back.

Tucson
I put in my bill yesterday afternoon, and didn't get paid before the close of business. I had running around to do, I brought my check to the bank and learned that none of it would be credited til midnight, so I brought it to my client's bank (which charged me 5 bucks to cash it). Feels good to be off with some money in my pocket ( Read more... ) -
Same sex marriage
I am following on-the-fly transcripts of the court hearings challenging Prop 8, and am surprised that "our side" hasn't highlighted the historical perspective of gay people, and how lessening oppression and increased rights have "allowed" men and women to establish more long-term relationships ( Read more... ) -
Hello 2010
I'm back! I like LJ, it's a good outlet for thoughts. It's a great community, while posting may be off, most of the people on my friends' list are still members. I've tried to keep up with reading my friends' list, some weeks are better than others.

Random notes after a gap in posting
I've missed LJ, when I look at my last posts they are crappy on-the-road notes about traffic. Well, it's here, but not like before in LA. Mostly I have been distracted with good stuff- deadlines for work and for setting up my new home.

Great things on TV if you have cable
I love the Independent Film Channel, can't really keep up with its programming. I was looking for the much-hyped Monty Python doc, but I guess that doesn't start until Sunday. I came across a pile of great movies I can recommend over the next week.
