I've just looked at your multiple posts with all of those lovely pictures. While gardens look lovely and the view of the mountain range is truly magnificent, I just didn't imagine the level of poverty. Actually, I don't know what I imagined, I just didn't expect quite that . . . ruggedness. You and Ian are quite brave and adventurous to return to such a challenging landscape. Thanks for sharing the trip!
Thanks for checking my photoblog out :-) About the poverty, it's shocking when you first see it (and believe me, Nepal isn't that bad compared to some places I've been) but, dare I say it, you get used to it.
It's a truely beautiful country, probably one of the most beautiful I've ever been to and really worth the slog up and down those mountains. And if you think what I've shown so far is rugged, it pales in comparison to further up the trail, so stay tuned :-)
