Sweet Charity Scarf

This is a scarf I knit a while ago - it's an illusion scarf, which means you can't see the image when you're looking straight at it, the impalas are only visible from an angle! Bizarre, I know.

YAY! I was going to email you about this. I had no idea the auction was beginning! So, I'm glad you found out. :)

It was pure chance that I checked the site the day she advertised the final auction. I tried to put up photos on the site but failed - think there are a few glitches at the mo.

Anyway i hope a few people bid on it - I'd like to be able raise a few quid for them as I probably won't be buying a fic.

And it looks like you'll be getting socks after all :-)

I know in the past, when I've offered comics? I did a link to my LJ where I had the comics posted so people could see them. You could do that with the scarf photos - just put the http addy in your description.

Good luck! I know you'll fetch a good price for the auction. :)

Thanks - I can't take credit for designing it although I have designed illusion garments in the past.

Anyway, I hope it fetches a good price as I don't think I'll be bidding myself on anything this time around.

I don't think I can cross-post it as it's not my design, however I will ask/suggest it to the designer and see if she wants to put her own photos up. If she doesn't and doesn't object to my posting my photos I'll do it. It might encourage a few more bids anyway :-)

Just wanted to let you know that the scarf was sold for just under $50! The buyer received it in the post today and emailed me to say she's thrilled with it :-)
