Since my newspaper didn't have a sheet where I could make my Oscar picks, I'll do it here!

Actor in a Leading Role: Sean Penn, for kissing all those men. But Mickey Rourke is most deserving.
Actor in a Supporting Role: Robert Downey Jr., even though Heath Ledger created the most iconic character.
Actress in a Leading Role: Kate Winslet

I think they did what they could with the child actors. It was not unfair, perhaps more appropriate than a huge lump sum would have been.

I'm hoping Slumdog beats out Benjamin Button for total awards. I don't know how Button was nominated for so many awards - it was mediocre, overdrawn, and not a lot of fun. Some parts were downright stupid.
