it felt like spring for a few days last week, and accordingly i did things like make hummus, bake cupcakes, and listen to older sleater-kinney albums, all things that for one reason or another remind me of spring. for now it's cold again, but it still feels like spring around the edges, and i can't wait. every year, spring weather makes me feel

i know things have been really busy for you; they've been crazy here too, especially since we've been in such limbo cos we were supposed to move last week but have been waiting cos they're making last minute changes to the apartment, blah blah.

Happy almost bday! The Seattle version of Babycakes is called Cupcake Royale & they're super-amazing. They have tons of flavors of cupcakes, undies with their logo & good coffee but not as many other types of sweets.
