Was it A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn, or something else entirely?

It was! And I kinda stopped reading it because it was exactly the same as... another book. Which was maybe called something like "all my teachers lied to me". meh. There was no new exciting omg information, and it was more long-winded than the other book.
