Do I have the time to fix this?

I've come to the very sad conclusion that a good portion of my citations in my genealogy software are seriously messed up. And it will take a lot of work to clean them up.

This is a result of 30+ years of being interested in it (20+ of it in a computerized form). There is the "bad" research/citations from my pre-teen/teen years. There is the attempt ( Read more... )

I don't do it often actually. But maybe I should do it more. The vast majority of my FB posts are really mundane little things, along the lines of "The [check engine] light came back on again". It is so quick to post there, but it is much harder for me to post here -- something about the amount of time it takes to load these pages and the interference with cut-n-paste routines. I also keep forgetting that they increased the amount you could put in the initial posting.

I'll try to do it more often.

(I think of FB as a conversation in a great big cocktail party (or standing on a box on a pubic street). LJ is much more the conversations I want to have with closer friends in a small room.)

Yeah, I totally understand about not posting here because it's more effort! That's why I post a lot on Google+; I don't have to load a special page to do that, or to comment - so much easier!

Haven't looked into/joined Google+. I've got enough just juggling FB and LJ.
