mom gave me a super sharp knife which i was using to dice garlic to make chili. ouch. i just sliced thru my fingernail and stuff. lots of blood. yay! anyhoo, you can have a glass of wine when you're nursing or something. OR you can just pump milk ahead of time, then you drink your butt off, and feed the kid the pre pumped milk. then you just pump and throw away the milk that was produced while you were drinking copious amounts of booze. but the worst effect that drinking has is just reducing the amount of milk you make cause alcohol dehydrates you (which is what causes hangovers, the dehydration.) ANYWAY. so if you have a few drinks and drink lots of water it's not a big deal. OH and when your body produces milk it's composed of fat, protein, sugar. so just because you're drinking alcohol, doesn't mean alcohol goes into the milk. now you know everything i know about nursing and drinking, in summary form. w00t.

so why do you hate the people (me) who read your blog? cause you never post and that's just upacceptable. pssh.

oh so i was reading more research, turns out that alcohol content in your blood directly relates to the level in your milk. so say, you nurse a baby, have a few drinks, get buzzed, buzz fades, then nurse the kid, it's fine. if you have a ton of drink, get drunk, and nurse the kid while drunk, the kid will be getting some alcohol. not a ton, but a small percentage. :p
