Well, the fall TV season is starting off with a bang...

And I love everything I've tried so far :)

Sleepy Hollow
I love it, I love it so much. It's ridiculously historically inaccurate but I can't bring myself to care because there's a woman of color in the lead who's not a stereotype, who's got an interesting backstory, who's treated by the writers as a whole character and not just "black women are like this." I'm so happy about this I can't even tell you. I think we probably have Scandal to thank for this even being possible on TV, so that you Shonda Rhimes and Kerry Washington.

The Blacklist
Again, with the well done female lead character! I don't know what's gotten into the tv networks and writers lately, but I like it. There are two leads, the master criminal Reddington (played awesomely by James Spader) and a newbie FBI agent profiler he's fascinated with, Elizabeth Keen (we have no idea why he's so interested). I think Keen is actually quite well written as a well rounded character and is pretty much treated like a male character would be in this situation, including the fridged (well, nearly fridged) spouse. Spader makes a fantastic bad guy and I think he and Megan Boone, who plays Keen, play off each other really well.

Agents of SHIELD
*squeeeeee* I love it. I love the characters, I love the questions I have following the pilot, I love the humor, I love the flying car (comics reference!). Just...everything. I haven't gotten past the squee part of my reaction, basically. I'm gotta watch it again and maybe then I'll have something interesting to say.

tv: agents of shield, tv: sleepy hollow, tv: the blacklist
