I've been playing around with Picasa. I like it very much. As a person with only minimal experience in such programs as Quark and Microsoft Publisher, I find this extremely user-friendly and fun.

( To practice, I made a collage of SIUC, the school I am most likely (as in 99.9% sure) attending in the fall to get my MFA. Yum yum, degree. )

Well, I got a letter from University of Memphis on Saturday and... accepted!!! This is really cool since they are one of my top five picks. The city is amazing, though hard to navigate, and the school has a lot of opportunities for students to get the most out of the community. They have a really cool emphasis thing too. I'm going to be in Chicago for AWP with the magazine from Wednesday until Sunday and I'm pretty excited about it except for the fact that we have to shove ourselves into a too-small van, drive six hours, volunteer to help with registration so our fee gets waived, and then do actual work sitting at a booth while trying to avoid answering questions ( Read more... )
