.okay this is lorraine now. i used to smoke but only during two occasions. 1) during high stress and 2) while intoxicated.
.what i have discovered: 1)the next morning when you wake up with the smokers cough, a hangover and your lungs feel like someone has scorched your throat, is the worst feeling you can have. you walk around clearing your throat and such, totally unattractive. 2) your breathe stinks and no matter how much brushing you do the taste will always be there. 3) the high and stress relief that comes from smoking only lasts for as long as the cigarette does. when you're done you become so conscious about whether people can smell the smoke on you that you get stressed out all over again.
.so in conclusion, i'm not gonna say yes or no to you smoking. it's ultimately your choice, but i'm just gonna say that i wouldn't recommend it.
so, i'm going to sound hypocritical, being a social smoker/regular smot poker myself, but yeah...if you could avoid it, i would stay away from smoking on a regular basis. but i guess if you do decide to smoke more regularly (because i know no matter what people tell you on here, the choice is ultimately yours), i'd say don't buy your own packs and just try and bum them from people. not only will you save money, but not having your own pack will deter you from smoking a lot because it can get awkward constantly asking people for cigs. so yeah. there's my 2 cents. or 3 cents. or however many cents are in that expression. good luck with your stress issues =D
