SPN: 9.01

9 seasons later...

They have new promos or whatever they call 'em where they stand there looking somewhat silly, but new ones!

I loved this premiere. Jeremy Carter - he writes the best Sam. Sam saying what he said to Death - who is my favoritist-visiting-utilized-just- enough character - was heartbreakingly perfect. Everything with Sam and Death's scene worked.

I'm optimistic in regards to Castiel's return as a human.

Dean knowing what he was about to do was wrong and doing it anyway and knowing it probably wouldn't end well since secrets do not work and not able to make another choice.

Sam with an Angel inside him - messy. An interesting mess. And him not able to make another choice.

Winchesters certainly know how to do desperate to the extreme.

A friend and I were discussing Sleepy Hollow, the merits of Tom Mison (there are many) and the creepiness the series can inject and segued into SPN where she said and I quote 'you don't watch Supernatural for the story, you watch it for the boys'. I agree there have been times that held true where watching the boys got me through some 'uh, not one of their better eps' eps. However, tonight was one of those watch the story, the dilemmas and know the show still has the emotional punch that still makes SPN fun to watch into it's 9th season.

Premieres with one of the boys in the hospital - who knew they would end up favorites.:)
