Tonight was a blast! A family from my church, Matt Kolb Jr. and his family, hosted a barn party. They had a bluegrass band, (www.sunnysidebluegrass.com ) doing the music, a caller they found this morning, and about 120 people in their barn, square dancing, eating a pig, and just generally having a good time. I have joined the sick parade. So happy! I got a cold three weeks ago. It went away, but is back now. I canceled out of working this morning last night, but didn't get to sleep in much, so i'm going to go to bed early tonight. I hope.

Today, i drove 3.5 hours up to World's End State Park in Sullivan County, way way out there. Two friends of mine from church, who are married, invited me up. I'm listening to the service from Vincent MC on Sunday right now. I wasn't there because my family and i were down in Cape May for the day. it was a perfect day there! It's been two weeks since my papa in West Virginia died, and i'm finally posting. It was a great weekend, though sad of course. The viewing and funeral were both wonderful. Hey guys, my grandfather died this evening. He was outside, watering plants, and he fell from a concrete block retaining wall that is about three feet high, and possibly broke his neck. EMTs couldn't revive him, and so he died. He was 93, and let me tell you, this is how he would have wanted to die. He gardened all his life, corn, potatoes, apples ( Read more... )
