The Howling Schism tears open over Devonia-9, multi-winged Bleed-weasels vomiting out of trans-space to gouge days and weeks out of the planet with their
temporal teeth. The Doctor escapes from the jail she's been languishing in for hours (mistaken identity, honest), hacks the circuits of the landing platform restraint fields with a paper-clip, ducks into her TARDIS through a hail of automated suppressor file, and finds her laser spanner in time to set up a modulated chronal harmonic field. She's rather surprised when it doesn't work, and even more surprised when another TARDIS materialises above the planet and sets up a counter harmonic field that intersects hers to create a time-wave hologram -- although the Bleed-weasels promptly evolving into benevolent dimensional-interface-elves, undoing their own damage and fixing the Schism doesn't surprise her at all. It just annoys her. Show off.

Warpsmiths doppler up from a broken down-spiral Earth variant, rippling through reality and bending the local physical laws to their whim. The distortions spread like cancer through real-space, threatening not only the planet itself, but all local time lines as well. The Dimensional Development Court threaten to end it. Mike breaks out of their cells (mistaken identity, honest), rewires the multidimensional viewer to be a temporary portal, jumps into the Warpsmiths' Hive and, defeating an entire platoon of zombie robot Kree on the way, breaks through the shields to the central control chamber. He's rather put out to find the Doctor already in there, jiggering around with the dimensional calibration with her sonic screwdriver. She waves a cheery goodbye and transmats out just as the entire Hive blinks out of existence. Show off.

They both insist that the other couldn't have done it without their help. They both insist they can do it by themselves.
Daleks invade. She says, "go on, then." He says, "pfft! Like this is hard." Seventeen minutes later, he storms into her TARDIS, snatches her sonic screwdriver, says, "not. one. word." and storms back out again. She helps with the clean up and only smirks, you know, a lot.
Apocalypse comes back from the dead again. She says, "are all your villains this pompous and lame?" He says, "hey, you wanna do this by yourself, lady?" She says, "yes. Yes, I do." Seventeen minutes later, she storms into his TARDIS, snatches his pscimitar, says "this is just more efficient than making my own, it doesn't count," and storms back out again. He helps with the clean up and he smirks pretty much all the time.
Afterwards, they go to the bar.
"Gallifreyan biology," she says.
"Mutant physiology," he says.
"Special on doubles," the bartender says.

They defeat the Master together, although only because the Doctor accidentally lands on his doomsday gun and Mike stumbles outside and pukes all over him.
They never, ever speak of this again.
