I feel pretty old for keeping and maintaining Live Journal, even though I haven't been posting regularly.

How are you reconciling Catholicism and Queerness? I have a friend who actually asked them to ex-communicate her because she couldn't reconcile it. What is it about the Catholicism that is so compelling to you as opposed to more ostensibly progressive traditions/denominations?
