My search has turned up nothing.  The elements here are too... foreign.  I can't find my way alone to Fire.  As much as I do not wish to do so, perhaps a native of this place would be better suited to assisting me.  Guardian, we have only spoken once, but perhaps you have some sort of wisdom to offer.  Of course, I would not think to ask any favors ( Read more... )

[Med'an is curious about what the Guardian might say. :O He wants to talk to the elements too...!!]

I know a little about whittling, but I've never made a totem before. I'll try to help, though.

I will teach you what I can. It is an important practice to learn should you take on your own students later in life.

My own students? [He had not even considered that, lmao. He is still a bitty thing himself.] That'll be a long time from now, sir...

What do the totems look like?

What type of site would one normally be looking for in search for such, sir?

It isn't a place an ordinary person can find. In my home, it was high atop a mountain, where the heat of the sun could burn brightest. It's... Difficult to put into words, but it feels like a place of great power. If not properly wielded, it is one that can destroy anything in it's path.

Given time, I might be able to concoct another Sapta and reveal its location myself, but... Those practices are difficult to master.

I see. [Insofar as he can, that is - he's well aware of how alien the prospects of magic and shamanism itself are, but there's a genuine interest in his voice.]

A time consuming power to hone, I imagine.

I have devoted my entire life to it. Some will take on a role as a spiritual guide in times of need, others will take to the battlefield.

It seems that I do a little of both, here.

The is a loch, deep and still, to the southernmost boundry of this land. It is fed by a stream which originates high in the mountains, behind the temple.

There are places one can visit to find flames. It may not be as... simple as the other two.

There is no place I am unwilling to go, no distance I am unwilling to travel. I must regain my full strength.

Hm.

[No thanks for answering the first two he's missing? The Guardian isn't pleased with that.]

Come to the Temple.

[The distance from his current location to the Temple is indeed a short one, though this time he has come alone.]

It is the way of my people to honor the spirits and elements who guide them. I'm afraid I didn't know what tribute would be appropriate to you.

[Upon spotting the Guardian, he kneels.]

Thank you. This means more to me than I could ever put into words.

[He sighs. Don't spook the boy.]

I can be patient if you have any pressing business, but the sooner, the better.
