This journal is unnerving. With lined paper, there's always lots of lines to fill in the spaces I don't write in. But here, it's an endless expanse of white. It makes me feel pressured to write a lot and fill up every piece of this expanse with a character. Unfortunately, the pressure makes my mind go blank and, well, you see what happens. You get

I say you have not smartened up, nor given up. It's more than that. You've wise-ed up, and grown up.

And wile I disagree with the way school is presented to us and the attitude we're supposed to have, I think high school is your stepping stone to actual learnin' elsewhere.
